Our bed and breakfasts is in a fantastic area for those who enjoy walking with many lovely walks and hikes starting from the front door of our accommodation.

We have a choice of breakfasts available depending on your appetite which are all served in our dining area. So whether you want a full English, a meat free breakfast or just a bowl of cereal, we have something for everyone to ensure you are starting your day right. Evening meals are available at the Red Lion which is just a 5 minute walk from our B&B.

Being located in a conservation area makes us a tranquil retreat for a break away. If you walk through Cressbrook Dale it leads you to Monsal Dale, Monsal Head and the Monsal Trail where you can cycle/walk along the trail. Alternately a short drive will take you to Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, the caves at Castleton, Plague village of Eyam and the market town of Bakewell and Spa town of Buxton.

Bay View: Located on the second floor, Bay View is the premier room and commands breath-taking views from both its 4m private balcony and the room itself.

Marina View: Located to the rear / side of Beacon House, a light and airy room, Marina View has a definite nautical theme, with its high quality blue and white decor enhanced by views of Brixham marina and the breakwater.

Beacon: Beacon room is home to the "beacon" which enraptures the history behind the house and ultimately led to its name.

Harbour View: Located on the first floor to the front of the house, Harbour View maybe our smallest bedroom, but perhaps it’s our most charming.

Occupying the southern tip of the English Riviera, Brixham is a working fishing port full of charm and steeped in history, and now England’s' biggest port with £26 million pounds worth of fish landed last year. It has much to offer and is the ideal base to explore this beautiful part of the country. You can stay in the local area and enjoy the bustling harbour front with its diverse range of cafes, restaurants, shops and bars. Alternatively you can be in such destinations as Exeter, Dartmoor, Plymouth or Salcombe within the hour. Dartmouth, home of the world famous Dartmouth Royal Regatta and Torquay can be reached by short ferry rides.
