Monkton Wyld Court is a large country house and grounds set in an idyllic location close to the village of Charmouth in Dorset, not far from the market town of Bridport. It offers wonderful bed and breakfast accommodation alongside a variety of courses, venue hire, bed and breakfast, hostel and camping facilities.
For breakfast, help yourself to cereal, muesli, toast, a selection of organic spreads and homemade yoghurt and milk from the Jersey cows. Porridge is served if requested the night before, made from whole oats and slow-cooked in a thermal cooker overnight and everything is provided for you to cook eggs from the hens to your taste in the Victorian Kitchen. The hosts can also cater for a range of special diets if reserved in advance.
During your stay, guests have use of the Visitors’ Dining Room, the Piano Room (a large sitting room with grand piano and reading library) and the beautiful lawns, terraces, gardens and pastures. The house (a Grade II listed building) and grounds provide plenty of space and views for contemplation and can provide details and maps of local walks. The local beaches at Charmouth and Lyme Regis offer a rich variety of environments to explore and there are a host of other local attractions nearby.
