There are plenty  of shopping, recreational and visitor opportunities close to hand. These include the Rococo Gardens, Prinknash Bird & Deer Park, Laurie Lee (“Cider with Rosie”) country, horse riding, dry-slope skiing and gliding. Village events include the nationally - noted Art Couture Festival, Painswick Apple Day, and the famous “clypping” ceremony.

The Cotswold Way national trail is literally on the doorstep, and there are numerous other footpaths to explore in the surrounding countryside.

We are a good base for many local events, such as the Cheltenham Festivals, Three Choirs, Gatcombe, polo at Cirencester, cheese-rolling etc.
