During summer months it stays light for long hours so you can make the most of your days and enjoy the beautiful sunsets, returning to a charming Victorian farmhouse to relax in true peace and quiet.

At Backaskaill, our Sanday guesthouse, we have a double room with king-size bed and en-suite shower, and a twin room which has a private bathroom with bath and over-shower.

We also have a single room at the front with sea-views.

Ample wardrobe and drawer space is provided. Irons and ironing boards are available on request. 

Well-behaved Pets are welcome by prior arrangement.

There is a residents’ lounge with books, games, CD player, a personal DVD player and 46″ plasma TV and, of course, those stunning views across Backaskaill Bay.

Or you may choose to relax in our conservatory, taking in the sea and country views and watch our goats, Flymo and Fudge enjoying the sunshine in their paddock.
