The Hayloft is a spacious, beautifully vaulted luxury bedroom above the former stables at our 18th Century barn conversion home. Located between Somerton and Langport in Somerset, there are lovely views for miles across the levels from the room's Juliet balcony; peace, tranquillity and a very warm welcome are what you will find here!

The first-floor ensuite bedroom has a super comfy king-size bed (which can be made into a twin if preferred). There are armchairs which can be easily turned to watch TV and an elegant sofa and glass table to relax on along with a baby grand piano. Steps lead down into a dressing room/snug with a dressing table and sofa and off this is the ensuite bathroom with shower (within bath), WC and wash hand basin. Complimentary tea and coffee making facilities and biscuits, 42" flat-screen TV with Netflix and Sky (including Sky and BT sports), free Wi-Fi, tasteful furnishings and luxury toiletries and hairdryer.

We are fortunate to have many lovely pubs and restaurants within an easy drive and if you fancy a 40-minute stroll through the woods, there is our locally famous traditional pub “The Halfway House” at Pitney; this is highly recommended, serving excellent food and offering a wide choice of local ales. We would be pleased to advise on restaurants, taxis etc and local places of interest.

Situated in the heart of the Somerset Levels (an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty), The Old Stables provides a peaceful retreat to relax and enjoy the surrounding countryside. We are ideally located for exploring the very best of Somerset, Dorset and Devon and are only half an hour from Wells (with its stunning Cathedral), 15 minutes from Street with its famous Clarks factory outlet village and Glastonbury town. Walkers will be spoiled for choice with the miles of wonderful walks on our doorstep.

The Old Stables Bed & Breakfast is located on Hurlingpot Farm in the rural hamlet of Chelynch, Somerset. The bed and breakfast is a Grade II listed converted barn filled with character whilst still offering comfortable guest accommodation with all the facilities of a modern B&B.

The en suite rooms have been individually designed to ensure that you have a relaxing stay. In your room you will find a super comfy king or super-king bed (super kings can be made into twins if you prefer) made up with soft white linens, a silent mini-fridge containing fresh milk and complimentary mineral water, flat-screen TV with, free Wi-Fi, home-baked goodies, plenty of soft, fluffy towels, luxury toiletries, hairdryer and makeup mirror.

The traditional farmhouse breakfast, using locally sourced produce wherever possible, is served in the stunning 17th Century beamed dining room. There are many lovely pubs and restaurants within an easy drive or if you fancy something a little closer to home, the Poachers Pocket local pub serves good food and is only a short walk away.
