www.thebandbdirectory.co.uk Killean Farm, Inveraray, Argyll

Killean Farmhouse is no longer a working farm but still retains many of the characteristics, not least of all the wonderful scenery that surrounds the house and the approach up the drive from the A83.

Killean is ideally situated en route to the Kintyre peninsula, where you can take the ferry to Islay to sample the "peaty amber nectar" the very special whisky unique to the island.
Killean is also well situated for journeys to the outer isles. The ferry port of Oban, the gateway to the Islands, is an hour away.
Being centrally situated Killean is a great place to start touring. You could stay here and tour without the need to retrace your steps either by car or by foot for a week or more.
The historic town of Inveraray, 4 miles away, has a special charm and is of great interest especially if your name is Campbell. Inveraray Castle being the seat of the Clan Campbell.
Killean House has five ensuite rooms, all decorated and equipped to a high standard, 3 stars from the scottish tourist board.
After a comfortable nights sleep you can enjoy breakfast served in the conservatory. We cater for most peoples tastes, the most popular breakfast being the traditional Scottish Breakfast of bacon, eggs, sausages and tomato.
The cottage accommodation is ideal for those who want to relax and have more freedom to explore the beautiful countryside. They are decorated and equipped to a good standard and are less expensive that the main house.
