www.thebandbdirectory.co.uk Wissett Lodge, Halesworth, Suffolk

This elegant but homely 16th century farmhouse features many exposed beams and is set on a 300 acre farm. In 1916 Duncan Grant and Vanessa Bell of the Bloomsbury Set lived here.

From the lane turn into the sweeping farmhouse driveway. Tea and cake await your arrival, served in the Drawing Room.

This room leads into The Conservatory which overlooks the large mature garden with its lawns and pond. Breakfast is served here, prepared from local produce where possible and featuring our Scotch pancakes.
The market town of  Halesworth is 2 miles away where there are some excellent independant shops as well as a supermarket and two filling stations. The seaside resort of Southwold is 10 miles away, and RSPB Minsmere, Dunwich Heath and Aldeburgh are all within easy reach.
