The Mill features four bedrooms, available either individually on a bed and breakfast basis or as a whole-house holiday retreat. Guests staying on a bed and breakfast basis can enjoy a self-serve breakfast, with a selection of bread, cereals, fruit, juice, tea, and coffee. The fridge is stocked to allow guests to start their day at their own pace. Fresh eggs from the property's hens, homemade bread baked by Piers using locally milled flour, porridge, seasonal fruit, homemade jams, honey from on-site beehives, and a range of teas and coffee are all provided for a full continental-style breakfast. Specific breakfast requests can be accommodated with advance notice.  

While a catered meal service is not typically offered, guests have full access to a well-equipped kitchen, complete with an oven, microwave, dishwasher, and essential cooking tools. Staple ingredients are available for convenience, and for those arriving on foot or by bicycle, basic provisions for a simple meal can be arranged for an additional charge with advance notice.  

A range of amenities is provided at no extra cost, including a cot, high chair, allergy-free bedding, a bike repair bench, and wheelchair access. Laundry facilities are available for a small additional fee.  

The accommodation includes two king-size bedrooms, while two further rooms can be configured as either super king-size beds or twin beds. All bedrooms are located on the ground floor, each featuring an en-suite shower, except for the Tobago room, which includes both a bath and a shower. Soap, shampoo, conditioner, towels, robes, slippers, and a hairdryer are provided for added comfort.  

Outside, guests can enjoy a natural swimming pond and an outdoor pavilion with a BBQ and dining area.  

For those booking the entire house, breakfast is not included, and the rental is offered on a fully self-catering basis. Whether visiting for work, relaxation, or adventure, The Mill provides a peaceful and well-equipped home away from home in the heart of Suffolk.

Afternoon tea can be taken in the garden or on cooler days in the Victorian greenhouse in the kitchen garden you can view the vegetables that you will eat at dinner!

The garden is some three acres, during the shooting season pheasants use it as a refuge and can often be seen looking through the French windows! There is an old croquet lawn which guests are free to use. For guests that do not drive we can collect you from the railway station and during your stay give you a tour of the places of interest in the area. There are many and varied walks available from the house.

The food is a highlight of staying at Haughley; Caroline and Jeffrey are accomplished cooks who believe that using the finest ingredients is the key to your culinary excellence; using organic vegetables grown in their walled kitchen garden, fruit from the orchard and eggs from their hens. They are able to offer beef from their own traditionally reared cattle and game is from their own land; other meats are sourced locally from reliable producers.

Grange Farmhouse is a 17th century and Georgian farmhouse, situated in Lower Walton. The bed and breakfast accommodation consists of two large bedrooms in the Georgian part of the house. Both guest rooms are en suite and can accommodate a third small bed, if required.

The accommodation is not suitable for persons who are unable to climb stairs or who are allergic to animals. Well behaved dogs are welcome. Off street parking is available (one per room). Guests are welcome from any race, faith and sexual orientation.

All bed and breakfast rooms contain a television, hair dryer, small fridge, kettle and tea / coffee making equipment and a radio alarm clock (not Room 3). Room 1 also has a small microwave oven. Rooms 1 and 2 are in the elegant Georgian frontage.

They are not located near the sea front but are ideally situated for easy access to the A14 to explore the whole area.

Buses stop opposite for travel into Felixstowe Town, Trimley and Ipswich, via Ipswich hospital. For real ale enthusiasts, the bus stops at both the Fat Cat and the Dove Street Inn, two of Ipswich's best outlets.

Stephen and Liz both have extensive knowledge of both current and historic sites in the area and will be pleased to advise. They also possess many books on Suffolk, which they are happy to lend during your stay.
