Steventon, Oxfordshire.
Tethers End lies four miles south of Abingdon, five miles from Didcot
and 12 miles from Oxford.
We are ideally placed for visiting Oxford, Abingdon-on-Thames, the
Ridgeway, Wittenham Clumps, Didcot Railway Centre, Blenheim Palace, the
Cotswolds and the historic towns of Wantage and Wallingford.
Steventon is on the edge of the Berkshire Downs with the villages of
Drayton to the north, Milton to the east, Harwell to the south and East Hanney
to the west. Various footpaths to the Downs and surrounding area leave the
village. The Ridgeway is about two miles away.
For steam railway enthusiasts, Didcot Railway Centre and the Pendon
Museum (model village and railway) are close by.
