Thursday, 8 December 2016 The Whitehall Hotel, Llandovery, Carmarthenshire

The Whitehall Hotel offers cosy hotel accommodation located in the market town of Llandovery in Carmarthenshire.

Situated in the town centre of Llandovery, our hotel is only a 2 minute walk from the castle ruins and the car park.

The hotel is an ancient inn dating from the 17th century and retaining many original features and a wealth of charm. Our guest rooms are large and comfortable, having en suite shower rooms, TV, books and tea/coffee making facilities. A full breakfast is included.

To the rear of the bar there is a large patio and garden and also a covered smoking area with seating, whilst at the front there is a cobbled yard with picnic benches providing more seating. Residents and non residents are welcome in the bar, although sometimes quiet, you may find a quiz in progress or a noisy game of darts.

The food served in our restaurant is mainly traditional and home cooked and we are particularly renowned for our Sunday roast.

Llandovery is a small market town in the Towy Valley sitting astride the A40. It is also on the ancient drovers route and was an important stopping off place for these men. Nowadays it is better known as a place to see the Red Kite and go walking in the surrounding countryside.
