The George, Croscombe, Wells, Somerset
The George offers bed and breakfast accommodation within the pretty village of Croscombe in Somerset. We are located at the foot of the Mendip Hills close to Shepton Mallet and Wells. Our inn is a superb base for exploring the West Country’s many fantastic attractions.
All rooms are en-suite with showers, one with a bath and a shower. The George has a great reputation for its food and our menu caters for almost everyone. We make nearly everything our self and use fresh, local ingredients wherever possible. We have a number of our bestselling traditional favourites mixed with a number of frequently changing specials ensuring a wide and delicious variety.
Our guest accommodation is within easy reach of Wells Cathedral, Glastonbury Abbey, the Bath & West Showground, Cheddar Gorge, Longleat, Stourhead, Clarks Village, Wookey Hole Caves and Glastonbury Tor. There are great walks, cycle routes, climbing and caving opportunities at our doorstep. We’re dog friendly and muddy boots are welcome too.
