Kilkea Lodge Farm Country House B & B, Castledermot, Carlow, Co Kildare
Kilkea Lodge Farm Bed & Breakfast is situated down its own private driveway and is an ideal base for exploring Co Kildare. Our B&B is located on our farm at Castledermot, which is a small village near Carlow. The farm offers comfortable bed and breakfast accommodation that is ideal for those wanting peace, great walking areas, horse riding, walking or for a painting holiday. We are adjacent to the newly refurbished Kilkea Castle Hotel and Golf Club.
There are several guest room types available, some with en-suite facilities and others with an adjoining bathroom or private facilities. We have 2 double en-suite guest rooms, 1 twin with private shower room and a family studio with private bathroom and can sleep up to 4. Why not enjoy a creative holiday in our workshop? Workshops include painting, watercolour, drawing and millinery. Specialised English language lessons can be included in a week’s holiday package.
A beauty therapist is available on site and provides holistic treatments including reflexology, aromatherapy, Swedish massage and beauty treatments. Enquire regarding 2-3 day wellbeing retreats for small groups (6 people).
The bed and breakfast is within easy reach of the Wicklow Mountains, Japanese Gardens and St Fiachra's Gardens in Kildare. We are also close to several local race courses - The Curragh, Punchestown, Gowran Park. This is an excellent location for activity breaks such as coarse fishing on the River Barrow and river Griese. There are also many golf courses to choose from in Kildare.
