The Beacon Guest House in Goathland, Whitby, in North Yorkshire, provides stunning guesthouse accommodation in a wonderful Edwardian building. Including spacious oak panelled rooms, period fitting, breathtaking views and a pretty garden, we are ideal for a memorable holiday away.
Our gorgeous B&B is perfect for a spontaneous breakaway. We provide 3 bedrooms all with en suite facilities and tastefully furnished. The rooms retain period features while offering all the modern luxuries expected of high quality accommodation. A family, 1 large double and a double/twin room in the annexe is available. In the annexe, we have a room which is wheelchair accessible. This can be let as a double or twin. The bedrooms in the main house boast wonderful views of the moors, garden or Goathland common.
All the rooms include a TV with tea and coffee making facilities.
We have a spacious and comfortable guest living room to relax and unwind in, including TV and a large selection of reading material.
We have a delightful conservatory where guests can enjoy a hearty breakfast while savouring superb views.
The Beacon Guest House is the ideal base for exploring the surrounding area, such as the stunning coastal resorts of Whitby, Scarborough and Filey. There are many beautiful villages along the Yorkshire Coast that would make a lovely day out. Goathland is well appointed to enjoy walks around the village and beyond, to suit walkers of all abilities. At the far end of the village sits the train station, also recognisable as Hogsmeade Station in Harry Potter. Visitors can enjoy a ride on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, the steam train leaves Pickering and stops at several stations along its route to Whitby.
