Magdalen House is an award-winning bed and breakfast, in the beautiful city of Winchester in Hampshire. We offer beautifully appointed guest rooms that are suitable for both business and leisure guests, who are looking for a comfortable place to stay that is conveniently located.
Guests have a choice of 3 rooms, all of which offer:
Tea & coffee making facilities with complimentary biscuits.
Freeview/Freesat/Smart TV.
Bathrobes.
Hairdryer.
Hot water bottle.
Complimentary toiletries.
The King Suite – This has a king-size bed and views across the rooftops to the cathedral.
The Twin Suite – This has 2 x 3ft single beds and views across the rooftops to the cathedral.
Please note that once one of these 2 rooms is booked then those guests have exclusive use of the Snug and shower room. The only time these rooms can be booked together is when a party/group/family to a maximum of 3 are happy to share.
The Garden Room is a large family room with a king-size bed and a single bed. It is furnished with a sofa, Smart TV and a table & chairs and has access to a small west-facing courtyard. There is a vanity unit in the main room whilst small shower room has an electric shower, toilet and handbasin
A light breakfast is included within the room rate, please advise the night before if you would like a cooked breakfast. This is available at £5 per person.
You can leave your car here safely and choose between a stroll to the cathedral via the bronze statue of King Alfred and the Gothic-inspired Victorian Guildhall; a riverside walk to the famous Keats’ ode ‘To Autumn’ watermeadows or strike out further on to the South Downs Way, the Pilgrims Way or the Itchen Way. St Giles Hill is on the doorstep where a fabulous sweep of the city from the Sunset viewing platform will give you your bearings for a fulfilling stay.
