Its historic harbour and beautiful sandy beach, popular with surfers and bodyboarders, make it an ideal place for a holiday and a good base to see the whole of West Cornwall. With the South West Coastal Path right on the doorstep, the coastal walks are second to none.
Tehidy Country Park is approximately a mile and a half away with 250 acres of beautiful woodland for stunning walks and other recreational activities including birdwatching and mountain biking. There is also an 18 hole golf course at Tehidy Park Golf Club which is suitable for golfers at all levels of skill and experience. Portreath is also at the start of the Coast to Coast Trail (11 miles) which ends at Devoran on the south coast.
