Poplar House Bed & Breakfast is located close to the centre of Llangollen in Denbighshire. Poplar House is an impressive building dating from the early 1700s which, for much of its lifetime served as a Coaching Inn.

It's now the home of Ginny Leon who has furnished and decorated the house throughout with great style and taste. In the main house, there are 3 spacious guest bedrooms, all provided with TVs and DVD players, and two bathrooms which are comprehensively equipped and meticulously maintained.

Accommodation is available in the converted Coach House. One of the two units has been fully equipped for disabled guests and comes wide doors, a low bath and a drive-in shower. The other is furnished in traditional cottage style and can be used on either a self-catering or B&B basis.

These two units can also be interlinked making them ideal for a family with someone who is disabled. (Poplar House is the only premises in this area providing accommodation with full disabled facilities). Guests can enjoy either a continental breakfast or a full English 5 course breakfast _ Ginny is renowned for her superb omelettes with a choice of fillings. Vegetarians are also well catered for. DVDs are also available to be hired.

A recent addition to the amenities at Poplar House is proving very popular. In the courtyard at the rear of the house, Ginny has installed a hot tub, decorated with a Roman theme, which can seat 6-7 people and is available to all guests. Also, as we go to press, work is being considered to install a Sauna and Steam Room. Ginny is now offering Spa Parties available by prior booking. The parties, held between 11.30 am and 1.30 pm, will include use of the hot tub, along with a full brunch of Buck's Fizz, smoked salmon and scrambled egg, traditional breakfast or you can, of course, choose one of Ginny's magnificent omelettes.
