The Captains in La Fosse is a pub in the traditional style with warm carpets, low ceilings with original oak beams and walls adorned with brass and copper memorabilia. Situated close to St Martin on the beautiful island of Guernsey.
They offer comfortable rooms at great prices and is a world away from the UK chains and so-called ‘gastro pubs’.
The Captain's has nine en suite bedrooms, all equipped with tea and coffee-making facilities, televisions and extra touches like a dish of sweets and Elsyl toiletries. All the rooms are light and airy and have recently been redecorated.
The Tavern and Bistro at The Captain’s have an enviable reputation for good food that has been built over many years. As well as traditional bar meals, the menu features many of Ali & Del’s personal favourites, including Seafood Au Gratin, Lobster Thermidor and Crab Linguini as well as best sellers such as Steak and Stilton or Roast Duck with Orange and Redcurrant sauce.
The Captain's is a mere five minutes stroll away from some stunning cliff top walks and offers a prime location from which to visit many famous attractions throughout Guernsey, such as Castle Cornet, The Underground Museum, The Little Chapel, The Underground Hospital, Aquarium and Victor Hugo’s House to name but a few.
