www.thebandbdirectory.co.uk The Sheiling, Wester Ross, Scotland

The Sheiling is a very comfortable, modern bed and breakfast, which stands peacefully beside the shore of Loch Broom and enjoys fabulous views of the loch and mountains beyond.

The Sheiling has six guest bedrooms, four double rooms and two twin-bedded rooms. All are en-suite, some with bath and some with shower. All bedrooms are spacious and have hairdryer, tea & coffee making facility, clock radio and lots of extra's to ensure you enjoy your stay with us. Two bedrooms are on the ground floor, the other four are on the first floor.

The village of Ullapool itself was built in 1788 by the British Fisheries Society as on on-shore infrastructure to complement the huge fleet of boats fishing in the area for herring.

Ullapool is full of souvenir/craft shops, guest houses and hotels, it bustles all day long in summertime with people arriving off the ferry from Stornoway on Lewis or waiting for the next one. During summertime the many bars usually have traditional live music on offer. The town has a leisure centre with sports facilities and swimming pool, library, grocery shop, butcher's shop, chemist's (pharmacy/drug store), Somerfield and Costcutters supermarkets, post office and petrol station. There are branches of The Royal Bank of Scotland and The Bank of Scotland here too. We also have a theatre and library.
