The Riverside at Aymestrey is a 16th Century traditional inn situated on the southern edge of Mortimer Forest near Leominster in Herefordshire.

The rooms are all individually furnished, some with 400-year-old beams embedded in the walls. One is also individually haunted by the friendly lady from the river. The suites are lovely and large, each consisting of a sitting room and bedroom en suite. The Hayloft suite overlooks the river and opens out directly onto the ornamental terrace gardens which in turn looks out over the valley. There is a good selection of circular walks ranging from 3 to 15 miles length, the most popular takes you to an Iron Age Hill Fort then onto Croft Castle with its 1000 years of history. You can walk from Ludlow to Kington over two or three days and see some of the most stunning views in Herefordshire. With the Riverside Inn as a base, you can comfortably visit five golf courses, the Black and White Village Trail, Ludlow, Hereford, houses and gardens, heritage sites, breweries, cider presses, cheese-wrights, visitor centres & country parks.
