Welcome to the
VisitEngland ‘Best B&B in England 2014’! St. Cuthbert’s House is a
200-year-old former chapel, sensitively and imaginatively converted into
luxurious, award-winning bed and breakfast accommodation.
Situated in
Seahouses, near Bamburgh, on the beautiful Northumberland coast, it’s just a
stroll along the beach to Bamburgh Castle, and a short drive to Alnwick Castle
and Gardens and the Holy Island of Lindisfarne. St. Cuthbert's House has a
five-star gold rating and has won a string of coveted awards, including the
prestigious Gold Medal at the Enjoy England Awards for Excellence 2014.
Property: This
historic, Grade II-listed building has been tastefully restored and converted
by owners Jeff & Jill Sutheran, in a way that retains many of its original
features and much of its period character. Yet it also has the modern
facilities and special finishing touches that you’d expect from a five-star
rated B&B.
Rooms: All of
the beds have pocket-sprung mattresses and are dressed in crisp Egyptian cotton
sheets, plump duvets and king-sized pillows. All double rooms have 6’ super
king-sized beds. After a day out in the beauty of Northumberland, you’re
guaranteed a great night’s rest.
