The house has a tiered riverside garden with views over the River Cree. A two-minute walk across the Cree Bridge brings you to the bustling market town of Newton Stewart with shops and restaurants to suit all needs and tastes.
Villa Cree is also within easy reach of the local 18-hole golf course and the nearby Galloway Forest Park provides a wide range of walks and cycle tracks. There are rivers and estates for fishing and shooting and, with the Solway Coast on the doorstep, there are many beautiful beaches close by. The area is also a haven for hill walkers and ramblers of all standards thanks to the scenic Galloway countryside.
We are right in the heart of mountain bike country, with 2 of the newly opened “Seven Stanes” mountain bike forest trails, just up the road from Villa Cree, at Kirroughtree and Glen Trool. These are specifically designed for mountain bikers, offering different routes around Galloway Forest Park, with varying degrees of challenges, and taking you through some breath-taking scenery. There are even toilets and water filling stations allocated to the Seven Stanes.
There are innumerable beautiful walks in and around the area. Coupled with mountain bike trails, the Seven Stanes has some lovely walks. The Wood of Cree is also spectacular, incorporating Glen Trool, with spectacular white water rapids, and forest walks.
