Our farmhouse has been carefully renovated to provide a relaxing retreat for those who want to visit this designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Higher Searles Down lies in the softer half of Bodmin Moor close to the south western corner of Colliford Lake. Peace and quiet abound!

Our guests also have exclusive use of the sitting/dining room. Breakfast is served each morning here and consists of either a full English or continental option. Continental breakfasts are accompanied by fresh fruit salad, freshly made home baked bread and homemade preserves. We like to think that after one of our breakfasts you are well and truly set up for the day!

Higher Searles Down is an ideal place for a couple or two sets of friends to base themselves and is small, intimate and comfortable. The guest house has sweeping views down to the distant sea it offers an ideal touring base for all of Cornwall, or a home from home for those who want to experience the rugged beauty of Bodmin Moor and really get away from it all.
