It is a truly picturesque market town that crosses the River Wye and lies right in the heart of the Peak District National Park. The town dates back to Saxon times and is home to the famous Bakewell pudding.
Take a stroll along the river and take time to feed the ducks and swans or even apply for a permit to fly fish the rainbow and brown trout, that are plentiful in the river Wye. The Golf Club in Bakewell allows day visitors, so why not get a round in whilst you are here.
