Bargate Cottage is a cosy country cottage in Castleton, Derbyshire.
We provide guests with comfortable and homely guest accommodation that is nestled within the Hope Valley and ideally located for exploring the Peak District National Park.
Castleton is in an ideal base for walking or touring the Peak District
and the Derbyshire Dales, within half an hour’s drive of Chatsworth
House, Haddon Hall, Lyme Park, Eyam Hall, the Ladybower, Derwent &
Howden reservoirs of “Dambusters” fame. The well trodden walks of the
Pennine Way, Kinder Scout, Limestone Way and the White Peak Way are also
within an hour’s drive of Dovedale and Hardwick Hall to name but a few.
For lunches and evening meals there are six local hostelries serving bar
meals, also café’s and tearooms all within walking distance.
