Beech House offers bed and breakfast accommodation in the heart of Blennerhasset, a small traditional Cumbrian village, close to the quiet unspoilt beauty of the Western Lake District.
Centrally located between Wigton & Cockermouth we are just off the A595 which gives easy access to Keswick & Carlisle as well as Silloth & the stunning Solway coast, an area of outstanding natural beauty.
Situated on a 5 and half acre smallholding beside the River Ellen we raise free-range pigs, hens, ducks & geese. Our hearty Cumbrian breakfasts are all cooked to order using our own home reared or locally sourced produce.
Beech House bed & breakfast is ideally situated to take advantage of the many attractions of the Western Lake District from walking the fells, Skiddaw is just five miles away; to cycling, we are only 30 minutes from Whinlater Forest and the longest mountain bike trail in the Lake District. Cockermouth, the birth place of William Wordsworth, Silloth's golf links, the Osprey viewing point and a number of historic houses are all within easy reach.
After a busy day exploring the beautiful Lake District & surrounding countryside relax in the lounge, in front of the wood burning stove and in the summer laze in a hammock in the garden overlooking the village green.
You are welcome to tour our smallholding & meet amongst others Victoria & Albert our Kune Kune pigs or just chill!
