The Old Vicarage is in the village of Morwenstow, the most northerly parish in Cornwall is within easy walking distance of The Bush Inn. We are set in a tranquil, secluded location just five minutes walk from the coast path, where the National Trust’s smallest building, ‘Hawker’s Hut’, is built into the face of the cliff overlooking the sea out towards the island of Lundy. Here, the eccentric Victorian Reverand Hawker spent many hours in contemplation, writing poetry, and smoking his opium pipe.
Close to the border, we are ideally situated for exploring the best of both Devon and Cornwall with the beautiful fishing villages of Clovelly about 20 minutes away, half an hour to Boscastle and Bodmin and about 40 minutes to Port Isaac.
