Monkton Wyld Court is a large country house with grounds in an idyllic
location close to the village of Charmouth in Dorset. As well as wonderful bed and breakfast
accommodation, your hosts also offer a variety of courses, venue hire and camping facilities.
Monkton Wyld Court has a long history of offering bed and breakfast in the beautiful Neo Gothic house, with its arched windows and doors, & comfortable rooms which are each full of individual character. While there are no en suite facilities, all rooms are close to toilets, showers and bath. Whether you are attending a course, going on a weekend break in the countryside or looking for an alternative base from which to explore the area’s coast and countryside, they can cater for a whole range of needs.
For breakfast, help yourself to cereal, muesli, toast, a selection of organic spreads, and home made yoghurt and milk from our Jersey cows. Porridge is served if requested the night before, made from whole oats and slow cooked in a thermal cooker overnight. A variety of teas, coffee and other hot drinks are available at any time. Lunch and supper are also available by reservation. All the food is vegetarian and organically grown and much of it comes straight from the garden and orchard.
The local beaches at Charmouth and Lyme Regis offer a rich variety of environments to explore, and there are a host of other local attractions nearby. In all, the Monkton Wyld Court experience is an ever changing blend of peace and quietude with friendly company and busy activity.
