http://thebandbdirectory.co.uk/

Nestled near the centre of the quaint and historic County Down Village of Crawfordsburn, Courtyard Cottage offers comfortable en-suite accommodation in a beautifully extended cottage, fashioned from the original Crawford Estate buildings from which the village gets its name.

We are perfectly positioned for both country and seaside walks yet are close to Belfast City Airport and bus and rail links to Belfast City centre and beyond.

The Cottage is located close to the centre of the picturesque and historic Village of Crawfordsburn on the edge of Crawfordsburn Country Park, consequently there are a variety of countryside, forest and seaside walks, directly from the house.

Other attractions include, The Ulster Folk and Transport Museum, championship Golf courses at Bangor, Clandeboye and Royal Belfast and the Marina at Bangor, all within a short drive. For an excellent lunch or an evening meal, the historic Old Inn is a 2 minute stroll away, whilst the Clandeboye Lodge Hotel is within a 5 min drive.

www.thebandbdirectory.co.uk Clanmurry, Dromore, County Down

Built in 1820 while the Linen Industry was at its height, this is a lovely family home owned since 1985 by John and Sara McCorkell.

Clanmurry is a traditional Georgian house, situated with excellent access to the A1 road, conveniently close to Belfast and not far from the border.

The house is extremely comfortable and the extensive gardens are also pleasant to relax in. A special feature is the many interesting ship paintings - a legacy from another era when the McCorkell family owned a passenger shipping line.

These ships took thousands of emigrants across the Atlantic to a new life in America and Canada in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.

Clanmurry is 20 miles from Belfast and can be reached in less than 30 minutes. Both Belfast Airports are 40 minutes and Dublin Airport is 1 hour 30 minutes away. Hillsborough is 4 miles to the north, and the National Trust properties, Linen Homelands and Golf Courses are within easy driving distance.
