Langstone Cliff Hotel has provided the perfect setting for memorable Devon holidays since welcoming its first guests in the spring of 1947. Before becoming a hotel, the building was known in Victorian times as a Gentleman’s Residence, adding a sense of history and character to the property.

The hotel is set within 19 acres of secluded wooded grounds overlooking the sea and the Exe Estuary. A footpath leads directly down to the one and a half mile sandy beach at Dawlish Warren, allowing guests to reach the coastline without using the road. Within the grounds there are over 200 parking spaces available for cars and coaches, offering ample and convenient on-site parking.

Accommodation at the hotel includes 64 en suite bedrooms arranged over just two floors, with 17 rooms benefiting from private balconies. There are also ground floor guest rooms with doors opening onto patios, including several rooms with walk-in showers, some of which also have baths. A small selection of mobility aids is kept at the hotel, with additional equipment available on request. For families and groups, six family suites are available, each offering two or three bedrooms arranged around a small lobby, providing flexible and comfortable accommodation. Many of the rooms now also feature air conditioning.

One particularly spacious ground floor room includes a separate lounge area, while two additional rooms are located in a quiet and comfortable annexe known as the bungalow, positioned just ten metres from the main hotel building.

At the heart of the hotel are the Lincoln Restaurant and Bar, which are open all day, every day throughout the year, serving food and drink in relaxed surroundings. The Lincoln Bar offers a choice of draught beers and ciders, wines by the glass, soft drinks, and a range of teas and coffees, including Douwe Egberts espresso and filter coffees. An extensive selection of snacks and light meals is also available daily from 10.00am.

Leisure facilities at Langstone Cliff Hotel are extensive and include indoor and outdoor heated swimming pools, a tennis court, fitness room, indoor and outdoor table tennis, table football, children’s play areas, a full size snooker table, and on-site hairdressing, beauty, and holistic therapy services.
