Dolphins and seals have also been spotted in the area and in late summer Atlantic grey seal pups can sometimes be seen on Cwmtydu Beach.

The coast is just 15 miles away to the West and the Brechfa Forest to the East. The River Teifi, noted for its salmon fishing, runs though the village and there are many fishing clubs and facilities for the keen fisherman.

The surrounding area has a multitude of churches, and there are many excellent pubs and restaurants.
