The Old Vicarage Hotel is one of the few Grade II listed buildings in Bridgwater. We offer superb accommodation and overlook St Mary’s Church.
We have a range of beautiful en suite bedrooms available. Each bedroom boasts a unique feel and many have been recently refurbished. All our bedrooms have free WIFI, tea and coffee making facilities, fresh milk, hairdryers, flat-screen TVs, luxury toiletries, Egyptian cotton sheets, synthetic bedding, fluffy cotton bathroom towels and dressing gowns.
Guests are welcome to unwind in our gorgeous sitting room which includes comfy sofas, a large fireplace and an original 16th Century flagged stone floor. You can also unwind in our pretty cottage-style gardens.
You can savour an outstanding breakfast cooked to order, including homemade granola, monkey bread, homemade sausages and a range of vegan and gluten-free options.
The restaurant offers a varied menu, including many classics, new favourites and lighter choices. You can also have supper in our guest sitting room or in your own room. The Oak Room comes with gorgeous wood panels and is where Isambard Kingdom Brunel was reputed to have sat and drawn the plans for the railway bridge in Bridgwater. We can seat 12 guests comfortably at one table or seat 20 guests at 2 tables.
We are just off of the M5 at Junction 24 and the hotel is close to many attractions such as Cheddar Gorge, Quantock Hills, Glastonbury, Wells, Wookey Hole and Bristol. Great attractions to visit including Blake Museum, Hestercombe House & Gardens, Temple of Harmony, Enmore Castle & Burrow Mump.

All rooms are elegantly furnished and retain many period features including oak beams, stone archways and medieval garderobes.
There is a lovely farm cafe which offers delicious lunches, homemade cake and barista coffees. All the food is homemade. There is a brilliant farm shop available which is well-stocked with the very best West Country produce.

The village of Cannington lies between the Quantock Hills and the sea, some 3 miles from Bridgwater. To the west lies Exmoor and the North Devon coast, and to the east are the Somerset Levels, Glastonbury and Wells. The village has five pubs, three of which have excellent restaurants.
The village has a Countryside Visitors Centre, where you can play pitch and putt or croquet. There is a full-size nine-hole golf course and an all-weather Floodlit Driving Range. The village has a Heritage Garden with unusual plants and is an ideal starting place for walking the River Parrett Trail.
The bed and breakfast accommodation consists of 4 en suite bedrooms, 2 family rooms, a twin room, and 1 double room, all uniquely designed with vaulted beamed ceilings, rustic walls and plank floors. The quality en-suite bathrooms are of modern design with bold colour schemes and tiled floors.
The floors are warm to touch having individually controlled underfloor heating, so you can set the temperature to suit yourselves. All the rooms have a Freeview TV, a trouser press, along with tea and coffee making facilities.
The B&B rooms are on the ground floor with their own private entrances, so you can come and go as you please. There is ample off road private parking, so your vehicle can be left safe and secure.

We have 3 delightful farmhouse B&B rooms available. They are all light and airy as well as being beautifully decorated. There are 2 double en suite rooms for that romantic weekend away, or if you prefer, a twin room with a private bathroom.
Guests have their own dining room in which a traditional hearty breakfast is served or continental for those who prefer it.
There is a separate lounge for the guests if they wish to sit and read and also a landscaped garden for those who wish to amble around.
Our working beef and arable farm is situated near the Quantock Hills which are incredibly popular with walkers. The Quantocks were the first area in England designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and are great for bird watches, horse riders and mountain bikers as well as walkers.
Somerset is home to a numerous amount of attractions and places of interest that will keep you entertained all year round. From the Wookey Hole Caves to the cider farms, you will find something for all.
