For leisure activities, guests have access to two tennis courts, with racket and ball rentals available, as well as opportunities for coarse fishing. The expansive garden offers a safe and enjoyable space for young children to play, with babysitting services available upon request.

Situated on the outskirts of Brighstone village, Chilton Farm benefits from its proximity to local amenities, including a selection of shops, a pub, and a licensed café, enhancing the guest experience with convenience and local charm.

Scarrscroft Bed and Breakfast is situated in the beautiful North York Moors National Park village of Thornton Le Dale. It reopened on 1st June 2021.

A warm welcome awaits you from hosts Jerry and Barbara whose aim is to welcome you as guests, and say goodbye as friends. The comfortable, newly refurbished, double en-suite bedroom is on the ground floor, with:

Digital TV/DVD player.

Free Wi-Fi.

Hair dryer.

Complimentary tea/coffee making facilities.

Radio alarm clock.

Selection of books, magazines and DVDs for your entertainment.

Guests have their own private access directly from the rear garden into the room, so you can come and go as you please.

The en-suite bathroom has; walk-in shower, WC, washbasin, shaver socket and complimentary toiletries.

Arrival times usually 4 pm to 6 pm but other times can be met by prior arrangement. They ask guests to vacate by 10-15 am so that they can service the room.

In the mornings at 9 am, a cereal breakfast with tea and/or coffee is available followed by a cooked, breakfast made from high quality, locally farmed ingredients. Cereal breakfast only, with tea or coffee & toast can be served at 8.30 am in our homely dining room.

Off-street parking is available in the wide driveway and the house is only a four minute walk from the centre of the village where there is a good range of facilities, including several eating establishments for lunch and dinner. Mathewson’s car Auction Showrooms are a 3 minute walk a way. We are located 1.5 miles from The Great Dalby Forest so ideal for the “Concerts in the Forest”. Scarborough is only 13 miles and Whitby 22 miles as is York City.

For the comfort of all B&B guests, they do not accept pets, and smoking is not permitted indoors, only in the garden where there is a yellow bench seat for visitors use.
