The Barriemore, Oban, Argyll www.thebandbdirectory.co.uk

The Barriemore Guest House is a splendid example of a Victorian 3 storey town house, situated by the water on Oban’s sea front. It is as close as you can get to the narrow shipping channel which passes along side the patio at the front of our building.

All rooms are en-suite and beautifully furnished and have all the hospitality items you would expect from this exceptional 4 star guest house.
The town centre is a delightful short walk along the sea front, or you can spend your day on the terrace with a cold drink, or enjoy afternoon tea taking in the magnificent views of the bay. The large ships & ferries pass so close you almost think you could reach out and touch them. In the evening watch the sun go down in breath taking colour over Oban Bay & the mountains beyond.
The Barriemore has the best location in the area and is recognised for its well presented large individual bedrooms, comfort and style. Staff work hard to maintain our valuable reputation and will do their best to exceed your individual needs and expectations during your stay, which is not always possible in larger hotels.
Oban is famous for its local landmark McCaig’s Tower (Coliseum), which was built by John S McCaig. He also built the Barriemore.
