www.thebandbdirectory.co.uk Maesycrugiau Manor, Maesycrugiau Pencader, Carmarthenshire

The manor was built around 1900 on the foundations of an Elizabethan castle (partly destroyed by fire in the 19th century). Lord Sir Courtney Mansel, senator in the Welsh Assembly, had the castle built as an example of modern techniques used in ancient architecture (Tudor style).

You will be of course warmly welcomed with coffee and tea facilities and a few surprises. An extensive breakfast where 'organic' and 'local' food is central to our philosophy is served in the beautiful, medieval dining room. Chef Mark will also highlight some of his own creative specials ensuring you start the day well.

We spoil you with the same offer of breakfast as in the Victor Horta suite and ensure that you can fully enjoy your stay at the Maesycrugiau Manor.

The immediate vicinity of the manor is surrounded by rolling green hills interspersed with forests. As a renowned fishing area, it can amply accommodate amateur as well as professional. The salmon especially is of exceptional quality.

The river Teifi is also ideal for hikers who love to discover idyllic waterfalls, old bridges, historic churches, etc.
