www.thebandbdirectory.co.uk Calaraidh Bed & Breakfast, Milton, South Uist, Western Isles

Whatever it is that's pulling you to South Uist, Caloraidh is the ideal home away from home.

The roaring peat fire in our Guests' Sitting Room will have you feeling settled in nearly as soon as you've arrived, and our cosy, well-equipped rooms will provide everything you need.

Situated in Milton, the B&B is a 15 minute walk from the sandy white beaches of the island's west coast and plenty of fresh North Atlantic air. The much-lauded and respected Askernish Golf Course, laid out by Old Tom Morris in the 1880s, is only two miles to the south; Flora MacDonald's Birthplace and Kildonan Museum, full of the island's history, are half a mile and one mile to the north, respectively. Several hills are within walking distance.

If it's an evening meal or a quiet drink you're after, there are three pub/restaurants nearby; the nearest is three miles from Caloraidh, the next six miles, and the last seven miles away. If transport is a concern, we have excellent and reliable taxi services available on the island.
