The
name is derived from an area in France called Cluny, from where monks journeyed
and established a religious settlement that existed until the 15th century.
Only
the farmhouse now survives and this is part of the Priory Bay Hotel. The Hotel
is about 2 minutes walk away and non-residents are welcomed and may eat
sumptuously or have a quiet drink in the bar.
Both Nettlestone and St. Helens are only a
short walk away (pubs, restaurants, Spar grocers and a Post Office). Seaview is
about 20 minutes walk away ( or a five minute drive).
We are about 10 minutes walk away from both Priory and Seagrove Bay's, and in quiet rural surroundings. The Coastal footpaths R74 and R84 are situated about 50 yards away behind our cottage.
You
can look forward to homely comforts and good breakfast.
