The
Quantock Hills are still an undiscovered peaceful part of Somerset.
Our
B and B is warmly recommended in Trip Advisor for the comfort of our rooms, the
friendliness of our welcome, the beautiful garden and the quiet sheltered
location of our house. Special mention is also made of our delicious breakfasts
and the tea and home made cakes each afternoon.
Your
hosts are David and Rosemary Freemantle, whose main aim is to give you the best
holiday possible while you are with them. Having entertained guests for twenty
years they are experienced at looking after you and have a wide knowledge of
Somerset to aid your enjoyment of the area.
This
relatively unknown area of Somerset, designated the first Area of Outstanding
Natural Beauty in 1957, has much to recommend it. The Quantock Hills offer
moor, woodland, farmland and winding streams, hill and dale, ideal for walking,
cycling, riding and bird watching.
The
coast offers sandy beaches at Minehead and strata rocks for fossil hunting at
Doniford. There are numerous lovely gardens to visit from Hestercombe to
Greencombe as well as many private gardens detailed in the Yellow Book.
