Hazel Bank bed and breakfast stands in 4 acres of garden and woodland in
an elevated position overlooking the village of Rosthwaite with unsurpassed
views of the Borrowdale valley and the central Lakeland Peaks.
Hazel Bank has been receiving guests for over 60 years and the present
owners Brenda and Glen Davies have been sympathetically restoring the house
over the past few years. All the rooms have spectacular fell and woodland views
and are equipped and furnished to the highest standards to be expected of a
comfortable country house.
For the serious walker there is immediate access directly from the
grounds to many well known peaks such as Great Gable, Dalehead, Robinson,
Haystacks, Scafell, Glaramara, Lingmell, Great End, Grange Fell and Catbells.
For those easier days there are pleasant walks along River Derwent through the
Jaws of Borrowdale via Castle Crag to Derwentwater, along the Langstrath or
over to Watendlath.
