furnished with period antique furniture. There are two dining tables, one
seating 4; the other seating 6. You can eat at your own table or if your party
occupies both bedrooms you can all share the same table. Dinner or supper is by
prior arrangement and you can invite non resident friends to join you.
There are a number of local activity centres that provide quad biking,
off road 4X4 driving and archery. Visit numerous National Trust Properties,
gardens and steam railways. Alternatively visit the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct World
Heritage Site or go horseracing at Bangor on Dee or Chester. Oulton Park motor
racing is only 25 miles away.
The area bordering Wales, Cheshire and Shropshire is steeped in history,
with country houses, castles, gardens, steam railways and industrial
archaeological sites. Its geography embraces the Cheshire plain, Bickerton
Hills, the Meres and the mountain ranges, Berwyn and Clwydian, which provide
walking, cycling and wild life watching. The river Dee and local waterways
provide excellent fishing. Chester has a cathedral, horseracing, Cheshire Oaks
Retail Park, Chester Zoo and Blue Planet Aquarium.
