College
Farm B&B is a beautiful grade 2 Listed farmhouse that stands in a large
garden in the village of Hintlesham in Suffolk.
It has
been carefully modernised over the years, but still retains its character with
oak beams, inglenook fireplace, sloping floors and low doorways. The bed and
breakfast is a 500 year old, beamed Tudor building which was once owned by Cardinal
Wolsey in King Henry VIII's time.
There
is a very comfortable guests' sitting room with antique furniture where you can
find information about the local area, or read the many books and magazines
available. Freeview TV and a DVD player are also found there for your
entertainment. There is also a log fire for the cold winter evenings.
Breakfast
is served in a separate dining room where you can enjoy wholesome farmhouse
breakfasts freshly cooked on the Aga. We also cater for those with smaller
appetites, and also any other dietary requirements for our guests. I use our
own or locally grown produce wherever possible for the breakfast menu.
Our
farm is set in an ideal position to enable you to visit the wealth of pretty
villages and market towns, coastline, medieval castles and historic houses that
you can find in the county of Suffolk.
