The Old Poets Corner offers comfortable bed and breakfast accommodation located in the village of Ashover near the town of Chesterfield in Derbyshire.
Guests are more than welcome to dine in the restaurant at lunch and dinner time where there is a range of food available. Some of the food available includes chilli con carne, steak, hunters chicken, vegetable lasagne, fish and chips and much more.
There is a function room at the guest accommodation that is available for private parties, meetings, dining and family get togethers. The room with accommodate up to sixty people for an informal buffet and forty people for a formal seated meal.
There are many scenic walks straight from the B&B's doorstep. Guests can stroll along the footpaths along the river Amber and Ashover Light Railway trail right down to Ogston reservoir. Chatsworth, Bakewell, Matlock, Crich and Chesterfield are all within easy reach and great places to visit whilst staying at the bed and breakfast.
At the Old Poets Corner we run two festivals each year, one in March and then one in October. Each festival runs from Thursday to Sunday with live music every night.
