The George Inn & Millingbrook Lodge, Aylburton, Lydney, Gloucestershire
The Millingbrook Lodge is adjacent to The George Inn, where a selection of fine real ales and great meals are available. Both are situated in the heart of Aylburton, a pretty Gloucestershire village. Our accommodation is ideally located for tourists and businesspersons alike who want to travel to Cheltenham, Gloucester, Bristol, Chepstow or Cardiff.
Our B&B boasts 14 modern bedrooms, each with full en suite facilities and a flat-screen TV. We offer free Wi-Fi access in all our rooms and in all areas of The George Inn.
The restaurant is open all year round and our garden is available during the summer months for al fresco dining. Our food is locally sourced whenever possible. Our meat is sourced from Cowshill Farm in Hewelsfield or Fitzgerald's Butchers in Lydney and we use the finest butter from Netherend Dairy Farm.
The George Inn is located adjacent to The Millingbrook Lodge, where we serve a selection of fine locally sourced real ales along with draught beers, lagers, ciders, a range of wines and spirits combined with great home-cooked meals which can be sampled in our comfortable and welcoming lounge, restaurant and bar. At the rear of the beer garden, there is a large play area, including two slides, climbing ropes, a wooden suspension bridge plus enough room for your little ones to run off some steam. This area has now been made into a secure area with picket fencing and lockable gate.
Within comfortable driving distance, you can explore many wonderful attractions and beautiful locations in both England and Wales. For those who love walking, the Royal Forest of Dean is close by. It is one of the most unspoilt areas in England and consists of 24,000 acres of ancient forest. This is a truly magical setting for walking and other outdoor pursuits.
