Copps Castle is in a beautiful part of Devon and offers comfortable and homely B&B accommodation. Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, on a very quiet county lane, this is the perfect base for those who want a break away from the hustle and bustle of modern-day living. The B&B is surrounded by fields, but the village of Hartland is less than 2 miles away and only a short drive from Clovelly, Bideford and Bude.
The property was built in 1999, combining the best of modern amenities along with traditional looking features. Inside you will find an inglenook fireplace, wood burner, flagstone flooring and soft furnishings throughout. It has been finished to a high standard, providing a luxurious place to relax at the end of a busy day.
Breakfast is included within the room rate and is served in the dining room. This is a lovely bright space to spend the morning, waking up with a morning brew whilst enjoying garden views. Breakfast is served from 8 am to 9.30 am, however, earlier times can be arranged on request. A full English breakfast, continental style or vegetarian breakfast are available. Locally sourced produce is used where possible. Please inform when booking if you have any special dietary requirements. Packed lunches available by prior arrangement.
After breakfast, why not retire to the guest lounge where there is local tourist information to browse, allowing you to plan your day’s activities. Alternatively, relax here at the end of the day, read, play games or simply watch TV.
This stunning part of Devon is a haven for walkers, with the South West Coastal Path being easily reached from the B&B. For those walking the coastal path, arrangements can be made to transfer your luggage to your next destination.
For the children and young at heart check out The Milky Way Adventure Park, The Big Sheep, and the Tarka Trail over 30 miles of old railway line now a cycle path. Westward Ho and Bude both offer many facilities for families including sandy beaches, rock pools, Tennis, and Putting Greens. In Bude, you can hire a boat and row up the canal. Go to Dartington Crystal and watch the master craftsmen at work blowing the glass.
