Otterburn Castle Hotel is situated within a 32-acre estate, outside of Otterburn at the edge of the Northumberland National Park. The hotel is fronted by terraced lawns and surrounded by woodland, making it an excellent venue for a holiday, wedding, conference or simply wining and dining in our award-winning restaurant.
The guest rooms at our hotel are stunning and are furnished in a way you would expect in a beautiful country house. Our indulgent library suites come with a large four-poster bed, original fireplace and adjoining bathroom. Each hotel room is luxurious and includes en suite facilities, bathrobes, LCD TV, complimentary toiletries & free wifi.

The Oakroom restaurant serves a wonderful a la carte menu as well as a superb afternoon tea and lunch menu served in the lounge. Using the full house facilities, diners may enjoy their pre-dinner drink and after-dinner coffee in one of the large comfortable armchairs by a roaring log fire or make the most of the long, warm summer evenings on the garden terrace. We have a superb wine list that is specifically selected to complement our seasonal menus. Private dining can be arranged and our chef will discuss your requirements and personally create a menu for your special occasion – including vegetarian choices and low-fat dishes.
The Otterburn Bar & Bistro offers a relaxed and inviting atmosphere with comfy sofas, a selection of speciality beers and an extensive wine list: there is sure to be an option to suit every taste. The resident's bar is open from 6pm till late for residents of the castle only.
Otterburn Castle is conveniently located on the A696, a major route between Newcastle and Edinburgh. We are only half an hour from Newcastle International Airport. We are less than one hour's drive away from the Scottish Borders towns, The Metro Centre, Alnwick Castle, coastal castles, sandy beaches, unique National Trust properties, Wallington Hall, Cragside and much, much more.
