Hardwick House, Shrewsbury, Shropshire

Hardwick House, Shrewsbury, Shropshire

Hardwick House offers outstanding guest house accommodation in the historic town of Shrewsbury. Our magnificent 18th Century Georgian house is Grade II Listed and dates from the 18th Century, nestled in the premier residential street deep in the town centre. We are just a short stroll from the high street but also boast a rural feel, great for a memorable break in Shropshire.

Our wonderful house is more like a country house than a townhouse, offering a lovely place to relax in. The house includes a beautiful garden to unwind in on a summer’s day and a delightful 18th Century summerhouse.

We have two spacious double en suite bedrooms available which have been elegantly furnished. The oak bedroom has fabulous Georgian oak panelling and the Acorn bedroom can be made as a twin super king double room. Both rooms have white cotton bed linen, a TV and tea/coffee-making facilities. A further twin room adjoins the acorn room and shares the bathroom, making it great for families.

On arrival, you can look forward to a delicious homemade cake or biscuits. In the morning, tuck into our fantastic traditionally cooked breakfast using the best locally sourced produce, plus free-range organic ingredients where possible. We also provide freshly baked bread, homemade jam and marmalade, cereals, muesli, yoghurts and fruit.

We are in the ideal location for exploring Shrewsbury, home to stunning architecture, mediaeval streets and brilliant shops. Just around the corner, you’ll find Quarry Park, the famous River Severn and Shrewsbury School. Excellent attractions to visit include Shrewsbury Castle, Shrewsbury Museum & Art Gallery, Shrewsbury Abbey, Attingham Park & Shrewsbury Prison.
