Seaspray Guest House, Weymouth, Dorset
The Seaspray is a small, family-run bed and breakfast guesthouse offering a warm and friendly atmosphere. With stunning views across Weymouth Bay from most rooms, this B&B occupies a late Georgian, bow-windowed terraced house that retains charming period features, including original Georgian fireplaces in some rooms. The accommodation is comfortable and en-suite, with the exception of room 6, a small double/single sea view room that has a private external bathroom. All rooms are equipped with comfortable beds, free Wi-Fi, TV/DVD, a fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, as well as ample clothes hanging and drawer space. There is one family room, suitable for 3 to 4 people, and four double rooms. While most rooms offer a direct sea view, the standard double rooms do not face the sea, though guests can enjoy a sea view during breakfast.
The Seaspray enjoys a high approval rating of 9.3 on Booking.com and has been recognized with the 2024 RECOGNITION OF EXCELLENCE by Hotels Combined, as well as receiving a 2021 KAYAK Travel Award, both based on excellent guest reviews.
Guests can start their day with a varied and delicious breakfast, which includes a wide selection of fruit, cereals, toast, and yoghurt, followed by a traditional full English breakfast or other variations. The dining room offers a beautiful view of Weymouth Bay while guests enjoy their meal.
Located on Brunswick Terrace, the guesthouse is virtually on the beach, with only a short cul-de-sac separating it from the sand, making it ideal for families with children. Weymouth Bay offers a sandy beach with a gentle slope into the water, ensuring safe swimming conditions for kids due to the absence of strong currents. The Seaspray is situated in the quieter end of Weymouth Bay, yet it is less than a 10-minute walk to the town center, where more lively seaside attractions can be found.
Rates for the double rooms range from £80 to £110 per night, depending on the room and season. The family room is available for £110 to £137 per night, depending on the season and the number of guests.
