Following a recent renovation, Belle Green now features three beautifully appointed en-suite guest rooms, each enjoying stunning views over the village of Near Sawrey. This picturesque village is famously associated with Beatrix Potter, who penned her beloved children’s tales here. Named after local tarns – Moss Eccles, Wiseen and Three Dubs – the rooms offer charming garden views and glimpses of Near Sawrey and Hill Top, Beatrix Potter’s first farm, directly from the window.
There are two rooms with luxurious king-size beds and one twin room, each with its own en-suite bathroom. The rooms are thoughtfully decorated to create a calm and relaxing atmosphere, and each is equipped with a flat-screen TV and tea and coffee making facilities. The king-size beds feature memory foam mattresses and are dressed in soft Egyptian cotton linens to ensure a restful night’s sleep. While the rooms are cosy and inviting, they are unable to accommodate extra beds.
Guests are welcome to relax in the comfortable sitting room, an ideal space for unwinding with a book after a day of exploring. During the cooler months, the fire is kept burning to create a warm and inviting setting. The room is well stocked with books, maps, walking guides and magazines, providing both inspiration and practical information for discovering the beauty of the Lake District.
