www.thebandbdirectory.co.uk The Wight Mouse Inn, Chale, Isle of Wight

http://thebandbdirectory.co.uk/

The Wight Mouse Inn is a family owned free house & restaurant in Chale on the Isle of Wight. The inn offers comfortable guest accommodation as well as a wonderful place for families & friends to relax and enjoy something to eat and drink.

All of our guest rooms are clean and comfortable to ensure a good night's rest for overnight stays. A hearty breakfast is served in the morning in our restaurant area and food is available all day for those who want it.

There is plenty of space both inside and outside of the inn which is ideal for special occasions and parties. The inn also has a children's play area and plenty of grass for to play on.

If you are only stopping for a drink or a bite to eat then we are in a great stop off point for your journey. Cyclists can turn right out of the carpark and enjoy the flat Military road from The Wight Mouse along to Compton Bay and then the hills and stunning country and sea views along to Freshwater Bay and Yarmouth which is a 22.5km ride. IF you turn left you can enjoy the delights of the hilly 10.5km cycle to Ventnor.

For walkers, there is the Tennyson Trail which can be joined at Compton Down along the Military Rd which is accessible by bus. This Area of Outstanding National Beauty leads on to Afton Down, Freshwater Bay and onto the westbound coastal path to Tennyson Down, the Tennyson monument and past the Needles Battery to Alum Bay.

If you want to explore by cycle or by foot then the Victorian town of Ventnor and the surrounding Botanic Gardens, the Undercliff and Steephill Cove are very popular destinations. Ventnor can also be accessed by bus and Steephill Cove is a 15 minute walk along the cliff path or down the slope from the Botanic Gardens or from Ventnor Town.

There are also plenty of local attractions on the island that all guests will enjoy such as Blacking Chine which has exciting rides, attractions and life size moving dinosaurs!

www.thebandbdirectory.co.uk, Amadeus Guest House, Glasgow, Lanarkshire

The Amadeus is a small family and friends run guest house, so you can expect to be greeted with a smile.

Your room should be immaculate or we will sack the cleaner! We will help you with anything you need (within reason) to make your stay a memorable one.

We love children and are very family friendly, we have 3 cots, high chairs, and toys, and what is best is under 7's go free!

If you are reading this you probably already know what Glasgow has to offer. The Amadeus is a stone's throw from most places, Kelvingrove Museum, SECC, the brand new Hydro, Botanic Gardens, Glasgow University, Buchanan Galleries, Prince's Square and its great shopping.

And if that is not enough there are also tons of fabulous places to eat. Our favourites to name but a few are Stravaigin, Left Bank, the Lansdowne Bar and Kitchen, Ubiquitous Chip and the Bothy. For tours, we recommend Rabbie's Tours! Just ask us, we are happy to reserve a table or a tour for you!
