The Roast Ox Inn is an enjoyable place to stay while exploring this beautiful part of Wales.

Evening meals and Sunday lunches are available, both attract great support from the local residents and advance booking is advised. The bar also has a selection of real ales, ciders and an ever growing selection of wines and whiskeys.

We are privileged to be located within an area of stunning beauty and breath taking views in every direction.

There are sleepy market towns and old fashioned shops nearby in places such as Hay-on-Wye and Builth Wells and we are perfect for those who are looking for a get away from it all break as mobile phones don’t work in Painscastle!

The inn provides a place where people can enjoy the great outdoors and the peace & quiet.
