Great Sloncombe Farm is a 13th Century farmhouse that provides comfortable bed and breakfast accommodation just outside the town of Moretonhampstead which is close to Newton Abbot, Devon. This working farm is the ideal location from which to explore the beautiful Dartmoor National Park.

In the morning a full English breakfast is served using locally sourced produce where possible.

We live in a fantastic area for riding, both on the open moor, bridlepaths and tracks which we regularly ride and carriage drive ourselves. Stabling and turnout for your horse can be provided & suggestions on routes for day & half day rides. It is also great for carriage driving and undercover secure storage can be available for your carriage and equipment.

There are many interesting places to visit close to the accommodation such as RHS Rosemoor, The Eden Project, Castle Drogo, Arlington Court and Buckland Abbey.

Hidden away within a magical valley in the Dartmoor countryside, Great Sloncombe Farm is rural but not remote.

We are only 5 miles from the A30, 1.5 miles from the small town of Moretonhampstead and 3 miles from Chagford. We are also only a 5 minute drive from the open moor.

Meals are served in the Breakfast room, once the old dairy to the farmhouse. Furnished with pine dressers & separate polished pine tables, this room is the perfect place for dining.

Breakfasts are delicious and plentiful farmhouse fare served on pretty Royal Stafford Hedgerow china. Salt glazed serving bowls and jugs are from our local pottery in Moretonhampstead.

This traditional working farm provides a high standard of Bed &Breakfast accommodation, in 3 en-suite bedrooms with a friendly and informal atmosphere.

In the garden is a gas barbecue and picnic table for guests use & we provide utensils, cutlery plates & glasses & wash them up for you too! Also steak, sausages, burgers & bread rolls if required or bring your own.
